Scope:

Responsibilities for working with customers (inteal and exteal) to understand their business requirements and tu them into specifications that can be used to define, plan and deliver the required technical solution. 

The Business Analyst will have the core responsibility for working with customers (inteal and exteal) and establishing, from their problem statement and business needs, a set of requirements that define the project concept. They will be responsible for communicate the project concept across all stakeholders and working with the delivery teams to create solutions that define how the project concept will be delivered.  Working with technology applications and products the business analyst will be the first point of contact to demonstrate Innodata’s innovation and capability in delivering solutions to our customers, with the objective of establishing client as a leading end to end system integrator for outsourced technology services.

The Business Analyst will utilize numerous techniques for eliciting requirements that cover white boarding, wireframes, solution visualization, Use Case definition and Functional requirements documentation. They will be responsible for investigating multiple tools and techniques, evaluating the best approach for each customer and establishing standard operating models and best practices that can be reused across each engagement. They will have a technical awareness that will ensure that requirements are captured with a view to how they can be delivered.

The Business Analyst will be customer facing working closely with Sales, Pre-sales and technology/delivery practice leads to help develop the required solutions.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities


-Evaluate the "best" approach for each customer and elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.

-Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.

- Proactively communicate and collaborate with exteal and inteal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: Functional requirements/Business Requirements Document, Use Cases, GUI, Screen and Interface designs

- Work independently with users or under the direction of project managers to define concepts 

- Collaborate with the customer, sales, pre-sales, technical teams and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision (solution and implementation plan) 

- Be, where required, the main liaison and conduct between the customer, technology teams and support teams.

- Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously

- Evaluate new tools and techniques developing standard operating procedures and best practices.

Essential Experience 

-Candidates MUST have at least 5-10+ years' experience in information technology business analysis in an onshore / offshore environment

- Strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, technical resources and subject matter experts.

- Possess excellent presentation and inter-personal skills 

- Comfortable operating at multiple levels with clients onshore and offshore delivery teams

- Comfortable presenting at Senior Executive level within the customer environment

-Highly motivated and driven individual with the ability to self-manage 

-Have an understanding of the sales/pre-sales cycle process 

- Commercially aware and possess strong business acumen 

- Disciplined and systematic approach to work, with effective planning and organisation skills 

- Ability to work with matrix teams 

- Experience in publishing, content technology and XML  is desirable
